Heartbeats and high tension in the motodrom
Seven events. Breathless overtaking maneuvers on the last run. Racing you can touch. This is the “Internationale Deutsche Motorradmeisterschaft (IDM)”. The finale of the top series on two wheels takes place at the Hockenheimring from the 26th to the 28th of September.
Top-class riders from all over the world, first-class racing and exciting battles – the IDM is a safe bet for an entertaining weekend. For an entrance ticket of around 50 euros for the entire weekend, fans are offered one highlight after another on and off the race track. The paddock becomes a place to stroll. Despite its increasing popularity, the IDM remains very close to the fans. Anyone who buys a ticket also has free admission to the paddock. Children and young people under the age of 14 even have free access to the events.
Strong Classes: Power packed and international top level
BMW, Honda, Kawasaki, Yamaha, Ducati, Aprilia, Triumph and Ducati as well as tire partner Pirelli are the foundation of the IDM. The power density in the individual classes has become extremely close in recent years. The series is at the absolute top level.
The premier class is the IDM Superbike: this is where riders of the highest caliber do the honors. Breathtaking slides and emotional scenes are the order of the day. In the highest class of motorcycle road racing, the motorcycles have over 200 hp. This is also about the prestige of the brands. Will Florian Alt manage to bring the title back to the Honda team for a second time and dethrone BMW after just one season? Last year, luck was once again on the side of the now four-time champion Ilya Mikhalchik (UKR). It can also turn out completely differently. Riders from almost two handfuls of countries are at the starting grid, including Lorenzo Zanetti (ITA), Hannes Soomer (EST) and Leandro Mercado (ARG). The battle for the title is guaranteed to be heart-stopping.
