STRENGTHENING THE REGION THROUGH JOBS

Around 75 permanent employees work at the Hockenheim Ring, most of whom come from Hockenheim and the surrounding region. Hundreds of temporary staff are also deployed when required (parking attendants, box office, merchandise, public catering, grandstand admission, etc.). During a normal event season, the race track is one of the most important employers in the region around Hockenheim.

INVOLVEMENT OF LOCAL CLUBS

The events give Hockenheim clubs an opportunity to significantly improve their club finances by a total of several hundred thousand euros per season, for example by operating kiosks, looking after campsites or cleaning the spectator stands.

DONATIONS INSTEAD OF GIFTS

The Hockenheim Ring also raises charitable donations: For example, a children’s hospice in the region was supported instead of purchasing company Christmas presents, but institutions and initiatives such as Doctors Without Borders, SOS Children’s Villages, Plant-For-The-Planet, etc. have also already received donations. Hockenheim-Ring GmbH has also supported the School of Racing’s Advent Trackday for years by providing the facility. The proceeds from the event are donated to charity.

Deposit REFUND COLLECTION for a good cause

In the spectator areas, huge ‘deposit bottles’ are in use, into which our visitors can throw their empty drinks bottles for a good cause. The deposit refund collected will be donated to a charity organisation in the region at the end of the season.

RESPONSIBLE TREATMENT OF EMPLOYEES

As an institution in the region, the Hockenheim Ring is fully aware of its exemplary role: We take responsibility not only for the environment and society, but also for each individual. Our actions are always subject to the principles of equal treatment, anti-discrimination and equal opportunities. Employees are offered a long-term perspective. In addition, regular occupational safety training and health checks are mandatory and a health package with customisable modules has been introduced.

LONG-TERM BUSINESS PARTNERSHIPS

Since 1932, the Hockenheim Ring has constantly evolved and successfully adapted to the challenges of the times. This has only been possible thanks to decades of mutual trust and co-operation with customers, business partners, suppliers and service providers. This positive and fair business environment lays the foundation for long-lasting partnerships. The focus is on local suppliers in order to strengthen the region and utilise short distances. This means that countless service providers and manufacturers across all sectors benefit from the race track.
